Looking back, it seems pretty clear I was destined to be a chiropractor. My dad was a chiropractor. I also had four uncles and an aunt who were chiropractic doctors.
During my formative years, I spent a lot of time in my dad's clinic- watching literally thousands of people being helped by chiropractic treatment. So, its no wonder my sister and I also became chiropractors. Now I have my own practice - called HealthStar Chiropractic.
I remember when I was growing up that whenever I hurt myself or felt bad, my dad gave me a chiropractic treatment. The treatment didn't hurt - it actually felt good. I got fast relief, and I grew up healthy.
I have two growing sons. Like all young men, they frequently hurt themselves. As soon as they do they come to me saying, "I need a treatment." They know the treatments don't hurt and they will feel better fast.
It's strange how life works. Now people bring ME their headaches, migraines, chronic pain, neck pain, shoulder and arm problems, back aches, and asthma. Also, they come to ME with their whiplash/car accidents, and, of course, on-the-job and sports injuries- just to name a few.
We accept insurance on assignment, but many Americans no longer have health insurance. Those who do have insurance find their benefits being reduced. That's where chiropractic actually helps you save money. Why? Studies show many people actually pay less for their long-term health care expenses when they use chiropractic care. This is especially important if you are self-employed.
We have very reasonable fees. This means virtually everyone (with or without insurance) can afford the care they need. This is especially important to people who are uninsured, underinsured, or self-employed. We also offer extended payment plans . . . if needed.

What About Chronic Conditions and Difficult Cases? When a health problem doesn't clear up quickly, it can easily become chronic. Chronic patients often go from doctor to doctor trying to find someone who can help. Few doctors like accepting cases where other doctors have attempted to help without getting satisfactory results.
Frankly, I like the challenge of working with chronic and difficult cases. I welcome them because at our facility, we have a wide array of high-tech, therapeutic modalities, and we use a wide-range of chiropractic techniques. This combination gives us more choices than lesser equipped offices. So, we welcome referrals from other doctors who don't like "tough cases."
Of course, we can't help everyone- but we try our best. And if we can't help, we refer.
